Howard E. Colpitts, 92 Posted Apr 30, 2010 Formerly of Lynn TATAMAGOUCHE, Nova Scotia - Howard Earl Colpitts, 92, of Tatamagouche, NS, passed away April 21, 2010 in Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche. Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the late Howard Sr. and Edith (Weatherbee) Colpitts. He moved with his parents to Massachusetts in 1923, where he attended the Aborn School and sang in the choirs of the All-Saint Mission Church on Waits Avenue. On Dec. 23, 1929 he returned to Nova Scotia with his late brother Walter and two sisters, Hilda and Betty, to live with their grandparents. In his younger years, he worked in lumbering and farming. Later, he took up carpentry and started building homes. He never had to advertise. When his brother Walter returned after WWII they joined together to build homes in Tatamagouche and Truro, NS.
