Harvey Gene German, Sr. Dates: Birth date: August 02, 1937 Death date: November 18, 2013 Obituary: Harvey Gene German, son of Winfred Floyd German and Eva Pearl Cornelison German was born August 2, 1937 in Murray, Iowa and passed from this life Monday, November 18, 2013 at his home in Osceola at 76 years of age. Harvey received his education in Murray, Iowa. He enlisted in the Army in 1955 and served 3 years in the Signal Corps, with his most memorable assignment at a US Army Ordinance base in Nancy, France. After separating from the Army in good standing in 1958, he came back to Murray and met Mary Ann Campbell from Diagonal. Harvey described Mary to a friend as "one of the most beautiful women he has ever seen." They were married on January 25th, 1960. Harvey and Mary were married for 53 years, having 7 children, 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grand children, and, of course, tons of friends.
