(Simpson) Goodman of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, following a seven-year battle with liver disease. Born in Portsmouth, he was the son of Roselyn A. (Goldman) Goodman of Kennebunk, Maine, and of the late Melvin Goodman. Michael was a sales representative at the family business, Goodman's Men Shop, formerly of Portsmouth. He also spent several years at Nelson & Small in Portland, Maine, as a salesman. He was loved by his co-workers and his customers. In addition to his wife of 20 years and his mother, survivors include his son, Benjamin D. Goodman of Portsmouth and Kennebunk, Maine; brother Mark I. Goodman and his wife, Susan, of North Berwick, Maine; sister Cheryl A. Pober and her husband, Zalmon, of Halifax, Nova Scotia;
