Mrs. Aaron Hood passed away at their home in Desloge on Tuesday, October 18, 1949, at the advanced age of 83 years 11 months 14 days. Mattie E. Hart, daughter of the late John D. and Sarah Walker Hart, was born in St. Francois County, Mo., on November 14, 1865. She was united in marriage on December 27, 1891, to Aaron Hood, who survives. They were the parents of five children, three of whom preceded her in death. Two children survive: Edwin Hood of Desloge and Mrs. Thelma Diel of Salinas, Calif. Other relatives and friends mourn her passing. Mrs. Hood was a member of the Desloge Methodist church where funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, October 21, at two o'clock. Interment will be in the Herod Cemetery. C. Z. Boyer & Son Service.
