HORN, LAFAYETTE SMITH, JR. - formerly of Nashville, Tennessee, our precious Papa, went home to be with our Lord and our beloved mother, Friday evening, March 21, 2014, at West Hills Health and Rehab. He was born in Monterey, Tennessee, on December 10, 1921, and was married to the love of his life, Myra Venus Bow Horn, from 1945 until her death from cancer in 1991. His cherished second wife, Eleanor Wooten Horn, also preceded him in death; as well as his parents, LaFayette Smith Horn, Sr. and Dorothy Ruth Horn; his youngest brother, William (Bill) Horn (who died in the Battle of the Bulge on New Year's Day 1945 at the age of 20); and his next youngest brother, Albert Horn. -- Published in Knoxville News Sentinel
