William Mahurin S/O William H & Minta Tinker Mahurin. H/O Flora May Stricklin. Known as 'Little Bill' to those who knew him. He was killed in car accident on Christmas Eve on Hwy 8 near his home. William Mahurin, 45, Of Elvins Route 1, and Thomas Bradley, 34, of Leadwood, were killed in a four-car wreck on highway 8, one mile west of Desloge, Thursday evening, Dec. 24. The following report of the accident was given by the State Highway Patrol. A 49 International pickup truck en route west, being driven by Tom Wadlow, age 49 of Elvins, was struck by a 37 Chevrolet coach, en route east, being driven by William Mahurin, age 45 of Route 1, Elvins. The Chevrolet glanced off the truck and sideswiped a 50 Cadillac sedan, en route west, being driven by Pal Hatridge, age 35 of Leadwood. The Chevrolet then glanced off the Cadillac and collided practically head-on with a 47 Buick sedan en route west, being driven by Thomas Bradley 34, of Leadwood. Mahurin and Bradley were killed.
