Local's son dies Sept. 17 in Missouri car wreck Sherman Ray {Gay} Twomey, 25, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Twomey, Stratton, was killed in an automobile accident at the north entrance to Washington State Park near Potosi, Missouri the night of September 17. Funeral services for Twomey were held in White Chapel September 20 with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery at Doe Run, Missouri. Mr. Twomey is survived by his wife, Linda, and four sons, Ricky, Rodney, Roger and Ronald,all of the home. Also his parents and a sister, Diane, Stratton; a brother, SN James Twomey, serving in the Pacific with the U.S. Navy; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Ruh, Bellview, Missouri; Adolph Twomey, Mismarck {Bismarck} Missouri and Elizabeth Striklin, Valley View, Missouri.
