Doris Lorraine Twitchell was known as many things to many people. She was a devoted daughter, a special aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, a loving sister, a dedicated co-worker, a friend and a loved one. To family and friends who knew her best, Doris will be remembered as an outstanding individual. She was born Dora Lorraine on June 1, 1917 at home in Rosalind, Alberta, Canada. She was the daughter of Chester and Olivia Twitchell.
The family moved to the State of Washington in 1923 and lived in Cashmere for about a year before moving to Everett where she lived the rest of her life. Doris was raised with eight total brothers and sisters. She had five brothers, Eugene, Melvin, Robert, Myrvin (all deceased) and Glen (survivor), and three sisters, Alice, Mary and Olivia (all deceased). Doris graduated Everett High School in 1936. Always considered a "good" friend to those she knew. She loved people and doing things and going places (traveling). Her entire life was centered on other people and making them happy. Doris enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime; Tressa, Vivian, Hazel, Pokey, and Esther.
